Kayakalpa Yoga is an Ancient Practice developed by Siddhars /
Yogis of South India. It is a simple physical practice and similar to breathing
technique (but not exactly). It originated in southern parts of India
particularly Tamilnadu and was practiced by Siddhars like Thirumoolar, Bogar,
Agathiyar, Sivavakiyar and so on. Kayakalpa Yoga was taught only in the
Guru-Disciple tradition in ancient times. In due course, the kayakalpa yoga
practice was scattered into pieces of techniques and probably misunderstood.
Now , in all cultures of world and in many religions, a part of kayakalpa yoga
is being practiced without knowing that it is kayakalpa yoga. For
example, Kegel Exercise is prescribed by allopathy doctors and
Physiotherapists for treating Urological disorders, correcting uterus weakness
and improving sexual vigor.
In 20th Century, It is only Yogiraj Vethathiri
Maharishi – Philosopher & Spiritual Leader from India – has reinvented the
kayakalpa yoga and given it a complete shape. He dedicated 40 years of research
for analyzing and reinventing kayakalpa yoga. Since there were no clear or
straightforward texts / clues in the literature, he found it by his consistent
effort, deep contemplation, vast reading of siddhar literature and discussions
with various scholars.
Chief Objectives of Kayakalpa Yoga are:-
To prolong the lifetime.
To maintain the youthfulness.
To improve sexual satisfaction among males
/ females.
Kayakalpa yoga is a simple method and it takes only 7 minutes in
morning & evening to do. However, it contains subtle biological nuances and
spiritual secrets – hence it is highly advisable to learn it from a experienced
master. I am a qualified trainer in Yoga and Post Graduate in Yoga (Specialized
in Vethathiri Maharishi philosophy) and have nearly 20 years experience. Since
basically I am a Professor in Management Studies, I feel comfortable teaching
kayakalpa to participants of different educational back rounds. I teach
kayakalpa yoga with patience, in detail and give enough time to clarify and progress
in learning. I have divided the class into 3 sessions each session time
to 1 ½ - 2 hrs. Each session has a gap of 1 week so that learners can
practice it in convenient manner, get coordination, familiarity and have
chances to clarify their doubts during practicing. Once the 3 sessions are
over, learners will be very clear and thorough in kayakalpa yoga and it will
accompany them throughout their lifetime. It may be also noted that Learning
kayakalpa yoga by reading some text books or seeing from YouTube videos will
only lead to confusion or wrong effects. Better to learn it directly from ANY
